Setting up Apple Watch 5 data plan

I’m currently on the £15 everything pack on EE and am now trying to add the data pack for an Apple Watch 5 but I get the following screenshot. Both my phone and watch are from the Apple store.

To add an Apple Watch data plan to your account, you will need to be on a pay monthly contract.

Oh, so I can't set it up on my current plan?

Is there a way of combining the iPhone and watch plans, or do I need a pay monthly phone plan AND a data plan for the watch?

Sorry, that's not possible @Jonnyboy2.

You'll need a pay monthly plan and a separate watch plan.

You don't need to get a new phone, your pay monthly plan could be a SIM only.
