My Samsung flashes when I press the power key. The homescreen does not show up and I have to press the power key and tap the screen at the same time ,multiple times for the homescreen to appear. I have reset my phone multiple times and still no change.

When you say you've reset the phone, have you restored it to factory settings?

 

If you haven't tried that, I'd recommend backing up your information and restoring to factory settings.
