Hi ,
Really need some help , just upgraded from BB to a Samrt Hub and I had no issues using ftp tool fire zilla or cyberduck to upload tom my hosting site previousley with the BB .
I cannot get a connection to work with the new HUB , have tested everything via the mobile and all works ok between ftp client tool and hosting site so clerly the new HUB is the problem . Is there a simple guide to sort this out ? Non techy so please simple step by step would be appreciated .
Regards Dave

@Kirigaya_Kazuto : Dunno what you are saying there. Everything about the EE SH Device Guide confirms it's a DSL modem/router.

I have this identical problem now too. Suddenly I cannot upload any updates to my clients (or my own) websites! It happened a few months ago but rectified itself after a day. Now its been like this for several days. I will lose my clients if it isn't resolved so if EE cannot fix it - bye bye EE! And I've been a customer for many years.

@sjukmidlands : It might be a DNS/Routing problem, maybe remnants from the FB DNS black hole earlier this week.
To get round this issue try switching the DNS in the router away from EE's ones to Manual with 1 of these public DNS pairs:
OpenDNS : 208.67.222.222 & 208.67.220.220 Google DNS: 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4
Cloudflare DNS 1.1.1.1 & 1.0.0.1

Thank you for that help, I'll try your suggestion when I'm back from work tonight and post result on here.

Thank you! I updated the DNS servers as suggested. Initially it didn't work but then I changed the authentication protocol - which cut off the internet - and then changed it back to CHAP and once reconnected, FTP worked again! Much relieved. Thank you.
