SIM card

Hi. I’ve just received a new phone and new SIM card. Before I activated and received a code for the sim I deleted all settings from my old phone. I now can’t receive the code I need as it has to be sent to the old phone. Is there another way of receiving the code? Thanks.

Hi @Jak4,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

Did you upgrade?

If you did, you can continue to use your old SIM. If your old SIM doesn't fit your new phone, you can either setup your old phone to receive the code, or get in touch with Customer Care to activate it.

Hope this helps.

@Jak4   Your old device will still work and your settings on the device will not stop a text coming through to that device.    You can just put your old sim in your new device if it fits and use that instead of the new sim.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Thanks Chris. Regarding the old phone, I deleted all settings and content. It’s therefore back to how it was when it was first purchased.

Thanks James, I’ve contacted Customer Care and they very efficiently dealt with my query. They also confirmed what both you and the previous reply said about using the old SIM card. Cheers.
