Re: Email address deleted

Hi.  I really hope you can help.  I had a talktalk email address which ee took over when we changed providers.  A long time later I changed my laptop and that email was not brought over so I have no way to access it and do not have a pw.  It is linked to husbs google and audible and audible are sending messages so it looks still open.  Google cannot be reset because the link to the talktalk email address is impossible to access.   I need to get it deleted.  Or I need access through a temp pw, and am willing to send copies of ID but cannot find an address for EE.  Can you PLEASE hepl me???

They were correct. EE weren't taking it over. It's nowt to do with EE. What happened when you left TT BB before Feb 2020 TT allowed you to keep your TT email addy going &, like any email addy, you could continue to access it from anywhere. Since Feb 2020

TT stopped you accessing it from anywhere, like over the EE BB network, & you had to go direct to TT Webmail to continue using it.

Now you might be able to access it from https://apps.talktalk.co.uk/appsuite/ . If you've forgotten your pwd it should allow you to change it.

EE has no bearing or responsibility for the issue you are experiencing. It is all down to TT.

@tinhem : What do you mean? EE has never taken over TT email addys. When you migrated to EE did EE give your own EE email addy? Up to Feb 2020 when you left TT you would have retained you TT email addy but it would have been deactivated by TT after that date.

Thank you.  But when we moved to ee they said we could continue to use the same email address (which was called something@talktalk.net) through them.  We used it for some time, but less andless and when I changes computers I did not think it worth transferring across.  Wrong!.  The email is still receiving some notifications (and prob a load of spam) so looks like it is still in use.  Because it is "still in use" things like audible and google are not getting rejections and think we can still work in it. I need to find a way to delele or close this.  talktalk cannot help because we do not have a contract with them.   Complicated eh?

Even if you manage to close your TT email that won't resolve your issue. You need to login to these other sites & change your registered contact email with them.
