@lizeadon : Dunno what a £5 top-up card is. You can have either:

  1. A top-up card with no value but just id's your no. which you take into a shop that does top-ups with some money.
  2. A top-up voucher with a value whose voucher number you text to top-up with that amount. Does it have a 16-digit voucher number on it? If so, text VO then a space and then the 16-digit voucher number to 150 from your mobile router.

Try using Fast Top Up online with a UK bank card.

To get your mobile number text NUMBER to 150 from your mobile router.
