Hello,
I have an unlimited data allowance however when i used the hotspot for my laptop (and therefore used data to watch/stream/browse the internet) i got a message saying i had used 80% of my giftable data allowance (I'm guessing it was when it reached 80gb of the 100gb giftable allowance)
As far as im aware gifting allowance is when you gift data from one phone to another? Am i fine to keep using my laptop tethered to my phone and keep using the unlimited data? or am i going to incur charges somehow?

Hi @PhilipJ
Welcome to the EE Community,
your fine to keep using it beyond the initial 100GB giftable allowance but there is a fair usage policy of 600GB per month.
Thanks,
David.

It's only talking about data that you may potentially gift to other nos. on your a/c if you choose to. It's just a warning just in case you wanted to. You may safely ignore it & carry on using data for your own purposes including hotspotting.
Notice that it didn't say "You've now gifted all the data you can gift" just that you had "used" it.
