As the title suggests I’m looking to trade in my phone to upgrade but upon looking at reviews of the process all I’ve seen is bad experiences with the company bright star.

can someone give me a positive experience?

Hi @_bitter90s_

I'm sorry to hear you've only rad of bad experiences.

One thing I would say, and I'm guilty of this myself too, is that users tend to remember bad experiences more than the good ones or the ones that just run smoothly. Most users will of had a good experience with this process but not left a review.

Hopefully someone can come along to tell you of their experience.

I'll be honest - I trade in my phone at the Carphone Warehouse. They do the checks on your phone and then refund the value onto your card in store, so you know it's all done. I then use the cash to pay my upgrade fee directly to EE.

I've sent a couple of phones to Brightstar, both dealt with and paid out within 7-10 days.  As Jon_k said it is always those with a gripe that shout the loudest.

Thanks for the reply and I agree you will always see a bad review as opposed to a good one. I was just a little nervous at the idea of sending it and having to pay the full amount to end current contract and upgrade because the phone could get lost or something.

I am looking to trade in my iPhone 11 when I upgrade to either a iPhone 11/12 depends on what deal I can get over phone.
