Since i went into a new contract last year my 4g speeds on my mobile device have been very poor averaging between 5 and 10mb. I have a samsung galaxy s10+ and am on the essential plan. Before i was in this contract i used to get speeds with EE up to 70mb on 4g on a samsung galaxy s8 ( was on the max plan for this). Can someone explain why there is such a large drop off in speed?
My home broadband speeds are about 20mb so i find that i don't even use 4g on my phone even though though i have a 125gb monthly allowance. Still have quite a while to go on my contract but am already thinking i will switch mobile providers when my contract is up.

Hi @markc123
Variable data speeds are not, of themselves, a fault, but broadly indicative of varying amounts of traffic/load/usage on the mobile network in your area.
The increase in home working, many people using mobile devices, may partly explain the speed differential you're reporting. Are these speeds consistent regardless of day/time?
