Pixel 5a in the UK

Since Google don't (yet) sell the Pixel 5a 5G in the UK, would importing one from the u.S have any downsides besides warranty

Looking at GSMArena it'll be okay on EE's 5G network?

Our network will work with most phones out there, however we can't say for sure until we see the UK version on the phone.

Personally, I'd wait and see what Google announce next month with the Pixel 6.

I've bought phones from abroad before, whilst the specs say they will work, they don't always work perfectly, like Carrier aggregation or wifi calling doesn't work and you may not be able to do anything about it.

I shall wait and see if Google announce a UK version. i'm not desperate for a secondary phone, but it would be nice to have a stock always up to date pixel device 🙂

Yes, I know the 4a 5G exists, but the 5a 5G can be had for about the same price when imported and it's newer (likely to receive updates for longer) and it has a lot bigger battery (21% bigger)

I ended up opting for the 4a 5g, off ebay - second hand? yes, but at least I won't have warranty issues
