Hi,
I need to do zoom meetings when out on the road....so could i take my laptop and my 4G EE router, and just power the router with a 12v,2A supply coming off of a 24v battery (via a 24 to 12v converter) and do the zoom meeting like that?

Which router is it, model number, most Portable MiFi type Routers are USB Powered, and can be used from a USB Supply to Power and Charge whilst on the move, if it's a Home CPE Type Router some are as you say powered by 12V but not all.
Be careful with some of these 24 to 12V droppers as some of the cheaper portable ones are not always configured or referenced correctly for 0V ground from the 24V Battery, dues the vehicle not have a 12V Cigarette Socket on board.
Taking a LTE CPE Router into a mobile inviroment does seem a bit overkill might be best to invest in a Portable MiFi Device or can you not just use your Phone as a Hotspot.

Thanks, the model number is B625-261,
Its 4G EE router Q57Z
I dont have a smartphone. I am currently in another thread where i am seeing if i can buy an ee smartphone and amalgamate it with my ee mobile wifi router....ie, have them both on one tariff, instead of having two separate contracts.
I am going to try and find some youtube videos showing stuff like...
1...how to use a smartphone as a "hotspot"
2...how to unlock an o2 smartphone so you can use it with EE

I an guessing that as long as the router has a 12v, 2A supply, it doesnt care where it comes from....yes i will be sure that the ground is connected in correctly

Your Router is Huawei so probably 12V and 1 or 2A supply (should be printed on the Routers Label), if this is going to be a semi permanent fixure I cannot stress enough about running 12v equipment of 24V Vechile System and to insure this is done correctly and with the correct equipment, there is just too much cheap Chinese tat on the market claiming to do this sort of stuff.
Even if the vechile was 12V I would still recommend some sort of decent 12V Regulater as the charging system can be anywhere between 13.5 to 15V.
