Pay monthly SIM for my 4G router - can't receive security PIN

I recently bought a 4G router and an EE SIM to test it. Set up the account and all worked fine.

I've just signed up for a pay monthly sim only and received the SIM today. Having put it in the router and fired up the EE app on my phone, I went to add the new account, as the mobile number differs of course.

As prompted, for security I entered the sort code and last 4 digits of my bank account, then I got an error message saying "account can't be added at this time" or something similar.

I tried again and got a message saying "We're sure this is your number but just to be safe, we've sent you a text with a code".

Trouble is, the SIM is for my router, so I can't receive the text.

So how do I proceed?

Yes, you can most likely! Most mobile routers do texts. Which 1 do you have? Login to it & go to the SMS section.
