Pay As You Go Pack-bought in store

Hi!

My dad bought a pay as you go sim card in  Tesco today(4gb for £10). When he got home we put it into his old phone and appeared to instantly connect to the network. When trying to text me to see if it worked the messages failed. The messages of the 16 digit code to 150 also failed, and is saying that there is nothing on the account.

What should we do to fix this?

Thanks,Katie

@katie_adams : For sending texts, check your phone's Messaging app has the Message Centre no. setting for EE as +447958879879.

What does texting AL to 150 from it fully report verbatim (it is free)?

What the text of the 16 digit code to 150 all about? Did the £10 credit from Tesco come as a voucher whose code you have to text to 150?
