Possibly astupid question, but I'm buying a PAYG sim with a new number for my daughter, but the "free-sim" section of the website asks for my current number - just wanted to check that the sim will come with a new number, rather than be associated with my current one - can anyone advise? Thanks lots

Yes, the SIM will come with a new no. You can enter any existing no. there incl. landlines.

Thanks very much - turns out I need a pay monthly though as I want to transfer some of my data to her account every month.
Do you know - is there a difference between getting a second sim and sharing my monthly data allowance across the two, and simply opening another independent line that happens to be managed on myee? Can you still do the former? I need the absolute minimum extra cost every month as we have more than enough data without buying any extra.

No, from what you explained, they are not the same thing. Y'all need to be on contract, not PAYG, under the same MyEE family a/c to be able to gift data. See Gift Your Data and Set Controls .
