P30 lite w/ xmas gift

Hey 

 

Wondering if someone can offer some information/advice.

 

Story so far... 

 

Was at my local retail park and noticed EE had an Xmas offer for the p30 lite with free TV or Nintendo switch note I am already an EE customer (partners phone) 

 

Rather than mess about in shop I figured I'd head home after shopping and order it online as I was due an upgrade anyways (currently on old VM package).

 

Completed the order website said at time phone was in stock for delivery within 2days max.

 

Received email containing order number and stating processing and will be back in touch sms/email.

 

Checked emails this morning nothing so decided to ring customer service. Having spoke to someone I've been informed it's out of stock....

 

She said something bout re processing it to which I replayed I don't want that as I'll loose the Xmas gift. So apparently I've bee. Put in to some thing called out of stock bin?

 

Not been told any time frames just to call back end of week..... 

 

Am I going to get the Xmas gift?

What about the phone?

Any ideas on time frames?

 

Bit useless certainly not the same level of service I received originally when taking out the first contract...

Sorry to pester you mate but was just wanting to update on my situation and clarify one or two points. 

 

Having ordered the device originally on 25/11/19 and then phoning the morning of the 26th to find out its out of stock and on "back order" I decided to ring again this morning 27th to see if there was any update on my order.

 

Originally phoned and was told out of stock still but informed that I could in fact check stock at my local store rather than wait for the back order. 

 

I gave my local ee shop a ring and they had one in stock but only in black they where willing to hold this for me untill I arrived. 

 

Re-rung back through to customer service just to double confirm I could in fact head to the shop to deal with this order and also confirm change of color wouldn't hinder the situation which I was told was again no problem at all.

 

Fast forward an hour and I'm at my local ee store I explain to the store rep about what's happened and he proceeds to sort the order half way through he informs me it will have to be a new line as he couldn't get the same deal anymore. He rings through to cust service and explains to which they ask to speak to me and confirm that the original version I ordered is in fact I stock and they can sort my order so I let them continue there's mention that they have to send a Web form over to override the price and let me keep the deal which I was eligible for. 

 

Having left the shop and getting home I've and email confirming device is on the way identical contract but no mention of gift and a lower price....

 

I rerung cust service who confirm a Web form has been sent and this should adjust the price and entitle me to my gift. 

 

Now my questions and confusions are... 

 

I've read that ill get an sms 5 days and 14days but can take upto 28 but often unlikely from purchase but obviously I've had the out of stock issue so would my start date be the 25 or today when the order actually completed (I have had dpd txt this evening) or would I have to wait for the Web form to be completed and sort of activated and how long would this approx take?

 

Sorry for the long winded ordeal hasent been straight forward at all lol

Are you aware when your device is due to be delivered?
