Old Sim is still working after Port. New phone only gets EE calls/texts?

Sky Mobile  - Old SIM still active, make/receive calls /texts.

EE - (the "new" SIM  - to which the number has ported) - only receives texts / calls from other EE Network users, nobody else.

If for example I dial my number from Landline  - Old SIM receives it but not new SIM. If I dial from one of my families other EE network Phones - new one rings.

Have spoken to EE who advise everything looks normal and the port has fully completed but contacted old supplier who are Sky Mobile and they advise port hasn't fully completed and Sky SIM is still the primary SIM. Totally frustrating! Neither seem to want to take responsibility.  Port occurred on Wednesday 23rd so not sure why it is taking so long to complete. I have a Samsung S10e.

You’ve got a classic “split port” there. It is down to EE to contact the MNP team of the other network (in this case Sky) to ask for all of the missing port files to be sent over. Once that’s done your port will complete and the Sky sim will disconnect.

Under MNP rules you could be entitled to a goodwill gesture from EE as your service is not complete. Might be worth having a chat with them once the issue is resolved. Ring EE back and ask them to send an email to the MNP team.

Thanks mate. It's just poor customer service from EE not to at least look into it further or send the query over to their MNP team.

Yeah that’s not good at all. Once that email is sent the issue normally gets fixed within 24 hours. Bear in mind some networks MNP teams only work weekdays (EE one of the few exceptions to this)......
