No sim card error message on Samsung galaxy a70

My phone keeps telling me there is no sim card inserted when there is. I have tried taking it out and putting it back in, and switching the phone off and on again. It works if I restart the phone but only for a couple of minutes. Any advice?

@Sash28  try giving the Sim card a clean with a damp cloth make sure it’s dry before you put it back in the device, you also might need to order a replacement Sim card as that Sim card could be faulty.
