Nighthawk 5g router 4gee account.

Hi all, I've been using my 4gee data sim in a Netgear Nighthawk M2, I've been really impressed with the speeds over LTE+.

I have decided to purchase the Nighthawk M5 5g router.

I can't see any info anywhere as to whether the 4gee data sims are 5g ready or whether they will still be limited to 4g due to product limitations.

If so, do you know if 5g is a purchasable upgrade on a 4gee account.

Thanks

Hi there @Shauns65

Thanks for coming to the community.

You can use the same SIM card, however, you would need a 5G Plan.

To change your plan and see what is available, please get in touch with our Mobile Care team 🙂

Thanks.

Leanne.

It's not the 4G or 5G that matters; it's the 4G or 5G plan you are on that counts.
