Hi I've had a new debit card issued and ee have said it needs to be registered for my monthly payment to be made. However the card has expired and this months payment was taken (without me registering the new card details with ee). Does anything need to be done and are these emails legitimate? Cheers

Hi @Del0boy ,
Your Direct Debits will be taken on the basis of your bank account number and sort code and these will not change when a new debit card is issued.
I would recommend not to give out debit card information to any incoming calls, emails, etc. If you must make an additional payment by debit card, I recommend to do this directly online or by phoning a known-good number for your service provider so that you are certain you are speaking to the correct party. Good luck!

Hi @Del0boy
Can you elaborate on what you mean by "EE have said it needs to be registered"? Have you received an email or text message purporting to be from EE, saying this? It could be a spam message if so.
You can contact EE C/S on 150 from your mobile, or 0800 0798586 if you want to check anything specific to your account.

Hey Bristolian
Thanks for the speedy response. Yes I recieved an email porportedly from ee stating I needed to confirm the new card details etc. I thought it was spam and didn't respond but my card has just expired so I was in two minds. Anyways I'll give the 150 number a call.
Thanks again
