My Mcdonalds iOS app not working at choose payment, no 4G signal outside

My Mcdonalds iOS 14.4 app no longer works at 'choose payment', it used to work until recently.

Seems to be no 4G signal inside or outside of restaurant, it must be the EE network as my friend is on a different network and hers is fine??

I have deleted the app and re-installed it but no different.

Any suggestions??

@GrannyBarlow  Can you use other apps in this location that need data ? 

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

I have used the app until recently not sure what the problem is really, I don't use any other apps anywhere else nearby.

Good point though.

It could be the network, Apple or McDonald's.

Don't think it's Apple my mate has same phone and hers works, tried getting in touch with McDonald's and you have to phone America so not doing that can only think it's EE as the 4G drops out but why now? It worked before.

technology sometimes is more trouble than it's worth!

Shows no problem at the moment but I’m not in work now I will try again next time I visit McDonald’s, great suggestion thanks for everyone’s help

It's probably because you have your WiFI switched on and are connected to MacDonald Guest WiFi rather than using your Mobile Network.

 

I'm kind of guessing that you need to complete the WiFi Landing Page that asks you to agree to the Terms and or tick a box or similar, the fact that your using an App you probably won't see this unless you try and use your Internet Browser.

 

Either complete the requests or input details that MacDonalds are asking for to get Internet Access or switch off WiFi and just use your Mobile Connection.

Hi all update on McDonald’s app problem, I deleted everything and left it few days, looked in App Store and new version available, got that and tried it this morning, all ok until at the very end an error message came up about connectivity issues with app and McDonald’s and to go in restaurant and show staff message, did that and staff found order on their machine, all ok in end hope that’s a one off! And not every time I order anything via app🤔👍😁
