Hi,
My contract with EE is due to end in October.
I am planning on keeping the phone device but would like to keep the same number and move to PAYG.
Please can somebody explain how this works?
If I order an EE sim card for PAYG, how does it work with the PAC code to make sure I keep the same number?
Thanks

Hi @jamesc2020 and welcome!
Easy. Call EE C/S on 150 once you're within 30days of the end of your minimum term. Speak to an agent, tell them you'd like to give 30days notice to cancel your contract and move to PAYG. Just make sure you emphasise the PAYG bit and probably don't use the term "disconnect"
They will arrange everything. A PAC is for moving your number between different network providers and is therefore irrelevant in this instance.
And just to avoid any problems, be aware once you've moved to PAYG, your SIM has to be used on EE's UK network first before it will work abroad. Many have been caught out by this.

Don't order a new PAYG SIM or get a PAC. Your existing contract SIM can simply be transferred onto PAYG.
Call CS to give 30 days notice of cancellation & ask for it to be moved to PAYG.
To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone
