Missing £10 Pack for new Pay as you go sim

I got a new pay as you go sim (£10 Pack) from an EE store.

I've put the sim into my phone and called 150. I've linked the top up card that came with the pack. I have even used the http://add-on.ee.co.uk/status link but all I get is a message saying my balance is £0.00.

I tried calling technical support, they said there is nothing they can do and I have to call the store I bought it from. I called the store and they said I have to come back to the store to get it sorted.

The store I got it from is far from where I live as I just happened to be in the area when I got it so going back to the store will cost me more than the £10 I paid so either way I lose my money.

Is there any other resolution because at this point it seems my only option is to make a complaint to my bank and do a charge back to get my money back. Getting a pre-loaded sim card shouldn't be this much work in 2021. I've been with Three mobile and Giffgaff and besides network issues here and there I've never had this much trouble just to get a new sim card.

After 2 hours of posting this, I got a message with the details of my £10 pack. I'm not sure what fixed it, maybe it just takes a while for the pack to properly register, or maybe it's because I created an online account and registered my number, or maybe someone from EE saw this post and fixed it, either way it is now sorted.
