@Paul187  That’s because they are chargeable you need credit on your account to pay for these. Your allowance doesn’t cover chargeable texts.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
Thanks Chris looks like I'll have to move back to 1p mobile where it is allowed.10 quid wasted

Hi there @Paul187

Thanks for coming to the community.

Our Pay as you go SIM cards come primed with a pack, if you don't want to use a pack, you can text STOP PACK to 150 before you top up and you can then pay to send texts and make calls and top up when needed.

If you would like to use data you would need to purchase a data add-on, you can do this by visiting add-on.ee.co.uk.

Please see our What is pay as you go and flex hibernation, and how do I stop it? article, to ensure you don’t lose your number if you don't use the SIM for awhile.

Thanks 🙂

Leanne.

Thanks for the info Leanne I've texted but looks like as I've topped up already it won't work.Goodbye tenner.
