Hi All,
Only a quick one...
Just didn't know if anyone had started receiving any information around the processing &/or shipping of their Ipad Pro 5G pre-orders that they had made yet?
Just for reference and comparison, I have ordered the 12.9 Pro 256GB on 30/4 at 1:21pm (when the website actually loaded showing the 5G's as order-able! 🙂)

It’s what I had heard as well. Which is fine - means we’re not going mad with conflicting reports. I do think it’ll be this week otherwise they’re wasting everyone’s time - including theirs.

As you say, I didn't expect anything different if honest.
It's still slightly unacceptable that the website is still stating they have certain models in-stock and ready to dispatch within a 1-day turnaround however.
I just don't understand how a company as large as EE can get something like that so wrong.
Other carriers are still quoting out of stock or 6 week leadtimes, so it's obviously not impossible to give an actual ETA.
I do get bored of going round the houses with EE every time I order a new device, it's getting old.
Last time it was the Series 6 in Stainless Steel and that wasn't even an order placed at launch, it was well after it had been launched and it said it was in-stock when i ordered. I don't think I received that for a month or 6 weeks after I placed the 'In-Stock' order! 😂

My problem with any sort of delay is this. I paid for an early upgrade. This is based on date and is essentially paying off your contract. Its not based on the release date of the device. My new plan/device starts from the date I receive the device, and hence I am still charged the old amount. Because of this I am now paying for the same service twice. Every time this sort of delay happens (hint every time apple release a device) EE claims to have 'learnt lessons'. While they didn't specify a date EE need to become aware of the difference between a 'pre order' and 'back order'. Most of us probably new the alleged release date when we ordered and with no direct indication other wise would have presumed to have released it at least close to that time. I really hope the rumours of August are false. I did not sell my old iPad pro to fund an early upgrade ( meaning at the point I could have gone to apple) to effectively lend ee £800 for anything up to 3 months.
I don't mind a short delay but sending an email on release day saying my order was 'on track' but they did not have a delivery date form apple yet?

I had that exact same problem RE an early upgrade with the Series 6.
I shouted loud enough and eventually got them to cover the difference in early upgrade fees between when I processed the order and when it arrived. They also covered my first months payment of the new contract for the Series 6.
In this scenario, I wasn't going to risk the same happening again, so I early upgraded my current 2018 11" Pro to a SIM-Only as it was no-cost and ordered the 12.9 as an additional line. I'll give the 11" to the other half when the new one arrives.

I have an iPad Pro 12.9 inch 5G 1TB Space Grey on order since launch day. Still waiting, after reading this forum I decided to call EE to see if they had any 2TB models in stock. I was advised they did, but they were low on stock. The lady said she could get next day delivery, so I placed another order. I didn't cancel my initial order just in case.
Let's see which one turns up first? Secretly hoping it will be the 2TB 🙂
Eagerly waiting for the DPD update.

Well as an interesting turn of events, I’ve just had DPD notify me I’ve got a delivery due from EE tomorrow.
The Order Tracker for both the Grey & Silver hasn’t updated and both still say ‘Awaiting Confirmation’… So no clue currently as to which it is, but I’ll let you know! 😅

It was actually from the DPD App via push notification, I haven’t had anything via text as of yet.
I can confirm though, the Space Grey 256GB I preordered on 30/4 is the delivery tomorrow, EE just emailed me 👌.

@_Steve-W Soo, been off here most of the day, keeping myself busy with other stuff.....
Just checked my DPD app, and I also have a parcel tomorrow! Doesn't say its from EE, but I don't think I have anything else due 👌🏻😊. The EE website has yet to update for me, and have had no notifications or texts from EE or DPD...
I'll update with more info as it comes in..
