Ipad Pro 5G

Hi All,

Only a quick one...

Just didn't know if anyone had started receiving any information around the processing &/or shipping of their Ipad Pro 5G pre-orders that they had made yet?

Just for reference and comparison, I have ordered the 12.9 Pro 256GB on 30/4 at 1:21pm (when the website actually loaded showing the 5G's as order-able! 🙂)

Yeah, EE just told me no stock of any variant of 12.9”.. although he also said if I preorder I should get it when Apple release it……..

So like all of you, I’ve been onto EE. Confirmed all remaining stock is now gone. I was in line for a 512Gb Space Grey but was told to expect to wait 28 days at the moment. Despite preorder. The 256Gb variant seems to be in better supply so wise move or not but I’ve switched to a 256Gb silver.

Ultimately there’s no way of knowing until the damn thing arrives 😂

I cancelled my EE pre order for iPad Pro 12.9" and just got one from Apple in Regent Street (London) on Friday. They had many units in stock and they seem to have stock every day for pick-up (stock refreshes daily at 6am) so if anyone's waiting for theirs and have the cash to buy one up front just order one via pick-up from the website or the app.

Can't be **bleep**d waiting for EE to get stock and then deliver it. It's always better to get from Apple directly if you have the chance. Even if you have to wait, Apple's delivery guarantees are much stronger!

Don’t exactly blame you if honest.

I wonder if the EE website still says it has stock of the Silver 256GB & 2TB?

Not that it matters, EE will still take orders under the premise of them being ‘in stock’ when they’re not 😂.

Nothing at all.  I’m happy to wait a bit, it’s been a journey 😂. 

I did go into the Apple store in Manchester to have a look today.   It’s a very impressive bit of kit, so looking forward to getting it.  I wanted to check out the Logi Combo touch compared to the magic keyboard.  

Ended up going for the Logi, it’s a really high quality keyboard, and more flexible for my needs than the magic.  Plus the function keys are handy.

Very nearly left with an iMac too…

Fingers crossed for some updates tomorrow 🤞🏻

Well, if you think about it, it’s only a couple of days past the 21st…so give EE a chance…

Did you notice any slight shadow on the edge of the screen?

I can see it on mine but it’s barely noticeable. It’s expected due to how miniLED works and it’s very minor so I am not complaining. The screen is a massive upgrade over my previous iPad Pro and everything looks incredible especially in HDR so I’m very happy.
