I recently upgraded to an iphone 11 with an essential 40GB plan. I've set up my phone but it seems to have not added the data plan automatically and won't connect to mobile data, only wifi. When I go into the mobile data settings it just has an option saying 'Add Data Plan', and when I click on this it opens my camera and asks for a QR code from my network provider. The other option is to 'enter details manually', where it asks for a SM-DP+ address, an activation code and a confirmation code. I can't find a QR code or any of this information when looking through my account and plan information. Does anyone know how to sort this out?

Hi Leanne
Thanks so much for your reply - I doubled checked my SIM card and I'd made the mistake of not placing it in properly so my phone wasn't registering it was in there!!
A silly mistake but your response initiated me to check it, so thank you!

Thanks for coming to the community.
Do you have a physical EE SIM card in the iPhone?
You would only need the QR code if you were activating an eSIM.
Do you have mobile data turned on in your iPhone settings?
You can check this within Settings > Mobile Data, this will show all your apps that can use data, are they all set to on?
Speak soon 🙂
