I am going overseas for quite some time, and taking the roaming package to use my UK number. Destination is Asia, and hence not covered by the EU coverage. But most importantly, how do I get a replacement SIM card if I lose or damage my current EE simcard?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

@hazlee Yes. A sim will only be sent to the billing address.

@hazlee if you was to lose your Sim card whilst abroad you would need to call customer services and request a replacement Sim card that Sim card will be sent to the billing address. The Sim card would need to be activated before someone at that address can post it to you.

Hi @hazlee,
Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂
Are you using a pay as you go or pay monthly plan?
Thanks
James

@hazlee To activate a sim it just needs to be put in to a device until the device shows a signal. When it does make and receive a call to check all is ok and that’s it. ( your number should be on that SIM card ) It usually takes 4-5 hours to activate,

It is pay monthly.

And regarding the sending of the new simcard to the billing address - should I change it to my relatives' address instead in the meantime before I move back to the UK?
