How do I block nuisance calls/numbers?

Can someone please tell me what the situation is with nuisance calls, how do we block them, ect? I've been getting them frequently.

You can't using EE features but you could buy yourself a Nuisance Call Blocker handset.

They can be very annoying, I got fed up with them a while back and bought a call blocking phone.

Lots of options from many shops, with or without answer machines, and one or more handsets.
