How can I move to PAYG when my contract has ended?

jearund

I cancelled my EE contract a month ago and asked them to switch my account to PAYG as I wanted to keep my number. They told me to phone up today to buy a PAYG package, as I wouldn't initially be able to do this on line). However, because my contract has ended, my SIM is no longer provisioned to make phone calls!  Can you help?

Hi @jearund

Something's not right somewhere - if you called EE and asked to give 30days notice to move to PAYG, they shouldn't have just asked you to call back up later.

Calling in to buy a new PAYG package would be exactly that - a new PAYG package with a new number. It sounds like your old number has now been disconnected, and not moved to PAYG.

You will need to speak to EE C/S directly to resolve this. I would suggest using one of the "calling from another phone" numbers on the get in touch page.

Thanks @bristolian I took your advice and they sorted it out for me.
