Hi does anyone know why watching a live football game for 90 Minutes on a mobile phone (android) via an EE 4GEE WiFi Mini 2 consume 4-5Gbs of data? This seems like way too much data. This has happened consistently with the last 4 games watched. Thanks for your help and suggestions..

What quality are you watching?
Don't forget data is used both sending and receiving.
Thanks

Hi @steveroberts200,
I haven't been able to find a data usage guide for that particular service, but the usage you describe isn't unusually high for an HD stream. Does the player give you an option to adjust the playback quality?

Hi James. No options to change the streaming quality that I can see. I've emailed them directly to see what their streaming rates are.
I was thinking 720p would be 1.5GB max per hour, so I was expecting around 2.5GB usage per game. Maybe that was too optimistic.
Thanks to everyone who has responded.
