Help!! My phone wont save my pictures or videos

This isnt about calls -I just chose that choice because there isnt a select location for technical help
Can anyone assist me please. Although I have plenty of space on my phone -for some strnge reason my phone is refusing to save my pictures & videos when I take them
I cant go in store because im shielding (as well as lockdown) & Ive heard now that instore staff cant handle customers phones
If anyone can help me on how to resolve this problem or if there is something in th settings that might resolve it could someone reply

@equestrian26116 : It'll help to say what phone you have. This is obviously a device related issue.
There are drop-down menus of the forums across the top of the page.

Yes I am looking to save them from my phone & also to save any personal videos ive made
its a LG K8 2017
For example I took a picture of the last horse I rode & it refused to save & I dont know why

Sorry I didnt get back sooner
looking at my phone the line is in the green (indicating space) it is 7.71 GB used out of 16GB
Yes I have a storage card -aN SD card which says 2.84GB used out of 14.83GB . It wont save there either
Any ideas please

Are you able to try a soft reset of your device?
You can do this by holding the volume down and the power key till the device reboots.
Do you receive any form of error message?

Ive not tried this -.Would doing the soft reset delete all of my contact list
Before I try this method Could you please confirm either way whether I would lose my contact list-
I would appreciate a reply

A soft reset would not delete your contact list 🙂
The reset that would delete everything is called a master/factory reset.
Let us know how you get on.
