Just called up CS and had a chat with a lovely guy but been told that they oversold some devices, in my case the 256gb Pro and they all the stock they had has now been sent out. I was told not to expect delivery now for at least a week as they won't get any more stock in until at least next Thursday but perhaps even the Thursday after.

Very frustrating but not much you can do if you want to stick with the higher storage unit. Just a case of waiting a bit longer now!

What a complete and utter balls-up from EE.

Placed an order online on  Tuesday as an early upgrade and they charged me the wrong upgrade fee as there was a glitch on the site and cancelled the order, after I spent nearly an hour on the phone to them to try to sort it out.

Placed another order yesterday, the correct fee showed and payment showing as pending on my card. Got the order conformation email but nothing else.

Just been online chat with them to find out what is going on, only to be told that my order has been cancelled for no apparent reason! Checked with my bank and they said no problem their end with the payment, its been authorised, just wauting for EE to take it.

So now I've missed out on the headphone offer, they have offered to redo my order but I won't get the head phones, so told them not too bother.

Really *bleep* with EE and their lack of communication as to what was going on, how was I supposed to know that there was some problem if they don't contact you,  and when I did contact them they can't tell me what the problem was!!!

Official line on delivery for the 6 Pro 256Gb is now 'up to 14 days'.

Great.

Edit: on the plus side I have longer to cancel now if feedback from those who got theirs already shows it's **bleep**.

I'm still confused how they've managed to get this so wrong? I mean surely they knew this launch was going to be huge considering the steps Google made to ensure a proper "flagship" handset. Pricing, specs, launch offer etc it was always going to be popular. But for EE not have an allocation system is complete madness. It appears that it doesn't really matter WHEN you actually order the device, it's pure luck if you get one or not.

I read a couple of posts back about someone being told there was a chip shortage on Google's end? That's got to be biggest lie yet, Google's flagship phone with there first in-house chip, and your trying to tell me Google didn't manufacture enough? Customer service must think we're all a bunch of idiots.

Shame on you EE 😤

I ordered 25th too and I've been told today its gonna be 14 days from when I ordered, not including weekends. Fuming is an understatement. Last time I upgrade and pre order with EE. I also went for the 256gb option. What's more annoying is I can't trade my current phone in if it gets damaged and because I've upgraded they've cancelled my insurance policy on my old phone yet can't even honour the delivery on launch I got told I'd receive.

I'm considering cancelling my 256gb order and just going with the 128gb. It's in stock and you'll receive it next day. I'm more annoyed that I've got the official pixel 6 pro case sitting that I can't even use 😂

My upgrade date was the 28th so I couldn't order until yesterday anyway. I actually placed the order just after midnight, no idea if that means I missed out on the headphones or not, went for the 128gb Pro sunny. It's still showing awaiting confirmation, and my plan on the site won't display so I have no idea what's going on right now

I'm surprised that there's been no EE rep monitoring this forum. They must no that the community is going to be upset about the mess they've left us in. I took a couple days off work under the promise of receiving it on launch day, now this whole mess with the "up to 14 days" means there's a high likelihood that nobody will be at home to accept the delivery which means the handset will go back to EE via DPD and I need to start the process all over again 🤦🏽

It would appear that EE are now being inundated with calls.........can't get through to the upgrades team to cancel my upgrade. It's saying due to an unusually high call volume they can't accept any calls. This gets better and better.

The lack of detailed information about the upgrade status under 'My Account' on the website is shocking.  Any modern site should be able to show that you have an upgrade booked, where it is in the process, what the new plan will be, how much it is, when it's due to land etc.  It's really poor.

The ONLY reason I stick with EE is because I have a legacy F&F which is (just about) worth enduring the crap for.

EE have really bungled one of the most anticipated launches of the year.
