I received a Samsung Active Watch as part of a promotion and as I didnt need it i sold it on without opening up the box. However the watch wont power up, they took into an EE shop who tried another charger and still same so looks like watch is faulty.
I contacted Samsung support who were very helpful but said I would need proof of purchase, but as part of a promotion I didnt get one.
They said it could be sent back by EE, but how do I do this as sold on and I dont have a proof of purchase (I have the packing note for the watch and delivery note for my phone). I bought my phone online so if I phone 150 and ask for proof of purchase on my phone will that cover the watch to as a promotion?.If it does could i send the new buyer my proof of purchase and could he go into EE and get sorted or will he need to send back to me for me to deal with it (In tier4 at moment so all closed)
Nothing is easy nowadays...thanks

Hi @BigVern
The watch was a promotion from Samsung, so it would be them who would need to sort this issue out not EE. You would need to claim under the watch warranty, that is if the issue isn't down to the new owners fault rather than mechanical breakdown. You would also need to check if the warranty is transferable as you sold the watch on.
As for proof you should be able to use the same proof you used to obtain the watch via the promotion.
Thanks
To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone. You can call Freephone +44 800 079 8586 on Skype
EE standard opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 9pm - Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 8pm.

I got in touch with EE (150) and most helpful and as you suggested it was a promotion with Samsung so they will need to sort and not EE. EE have provided me with the Proof of Purchase
I'm having the watch returned to me and refunding the money so that I can then deal directly with Samsung.
Thank you
