If you are talking about:

  • Ring Time before going to your own in-house ansaphone, that will be a setting on your ansaphone.
  • Ring Time before going to 1571 Voicemail, dial 1571>2>3>2>3 for a long ring.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Just dial 1571 & follow the instructions. I've given the option nos. to guide you. They stand for : Personal Options (2) > Calling Options (3) > To change ring period (2) > Long Ring Period (3).

When I call 1571 she’s just says you have no messages goodbye and hangs up

EE's free 1571 service does not allow the options @XRaySpeX  has mentioned. I believe other providers offer a paid service that can include extra functionality.

You could try calling CS they may have an option to extend the time.

Ah, OK! Seems that EE only offer the basic 1571 Voicemail service.
