Hi,
I’m eligible for an early upgrade but I want a new number too, I can’t find an option to request this when I accept an offer, I no longer wish to have my existing number.

An upgrade is, by definition, a change of phone whilst keeping your existing number.
There's a couple of ways you could go about doing this:
1: Give 30days disconnection notice on your existing account and just buy your chosen new phone as a new connection.
2: Perform your upgrade through C/S directly, and request a change of number at the same time.
