EE to EE keep my number

Hi wondering if anyone can help me, im currently on a sim only deal with EE and have just seen a good deal on mobiles.co.uk for a new phone and contract which is also with EE, can i transfer my current ee number to my new phone with them both being on EE? thanks in advance

Hi @mollieb1 It's not that simple unfortunately. Assuming you are out of contract on your existing EE SIM, you can get your new SIM added to your existing EE account, and you'll have to PAC your old number out to another networks PAYG SIM, then PAC back in to your new SIM. It takes a few days and a bit of faff, but assuming you saved money by using a third party, it's worth the effort.

You could also see whether mobiles.co.uk will offer you a good deal on an EE upgrade, and/or call EE to see whether they'll offer you a deal to upgrade directly.

 

If neither of those are close enough to the "new connection" offer for you, then @chistery suggestion of porting your number out, and then porting back in so you are genuinely a new customer, is the only way.
