EE Pay Monthly sim doesn't work in Huawei router.

Hi all.

Don't know if this is the right forum, but here we go:

I bought an EE PAYG SIM to put in my HUAWEI 5G mobile router check whether it would all work satisfactorily and it did, so I bought a pay monthly unlimited data plan. Unfortunately, the router won't recongise the SIM. It's not a router hardware issue because the old EE sim works in it and it's not a damaged SIM because I put it into my iPhone and it worked perfectly.

All the error messages tell me that there's no SIM inserted. I did check that it was properly seated, by the way.

Does anyone know what I can try next?

Hi @Rogue_Leader,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

I'd recommend contacting the router manufacturer for support. If the SIM is activated and working in another device, it should work in most unlocked routers.
