- Hi all,
I've a very frustrating problem,
I have the unlimited 4GEE data SIM.
On EE's website I should be recieving 30mbps down load speed, after alot of faffing around, finding the location of my nearest mast, changing DNS servers (after testing for the fastest) installing an external antenna, installing 3 X LAN cables through out my house ( not in use yet ) the best I can get is about 5Mbps which is not enough but manageable but what is even more frustrating, in the evenings the download speed completely disappear s to about 1mbps from about 20:00-21:00 to 00:00, arhhhh!!
Has anybody had this problem and been able to fix it? Also do EE offer a service for engineers to install external antenna's. As I'm starting to relies i might be the problem!!
thanks in advance

Hi @Toasty
Welcome to the community.
Where did you see you should get 30mbps? Are those home broadband speeds?
Could you check the estimated 4G coverage on our mobile coverage checker please?

Hi,thanks for replying,
No EE home broadband is 11mbps
My EE mobile runs at about 20MBPS (indoors)
Ive taken a screen shot of what I've seen

OK thanks, @Toasty.
The page you took a screenshot of says that 30mbps is maximum.
What did the mobile coverage checker show your estimated 4G coverage should be like?
Could you test the router outdoors? Just to see how much it improves?

Doesn't seem I'm able to upload screen shots.
Basically, go to look to buy 4GEE Mobile broadband, you do a check and are told what you could get.
In my area,
Home broadband is 11mbps
Mobile BroadBand up to 30mbps
The link you gave me said,
I should have good EE coverage outside and inside my house.
This morning was 22mbos,
Last night again was running at 1 mbps

OK thanks @Toasty.
The service can depend on a number of factors, that's why it says 'up to' 30mbps. If your phone is steadily getting 20mbps, I'd recommend speaking to our Tech Gurus again to run through options and troubleshooting with the router.
