Data gifting

Why can I not gift data to my 4gee WiFi from my unlimited data phone account as both are in my name?

Hi Jez65.  If you mean a 4G router (I have one of these) - EE don't allow data gifting to or from these devices unfortunately.

That's annoying!
Can I use my phone as a router for my sky+ box like I can for laptops and
smart TV?

Is the 4GEE Wifi device on a 1 month contract? You can't gift data to those.
