Data Gifting

Who else is having problems with Data Gifting? The whole situation isn't presented very clearly. I have a pay monthly 4GEE package, and i have 2 sim cards, one which is in my phone, the other is in a 4GEE router to share in the household. I have unlimited data, and i wish to send my gifting limit, which is 100gb to my other sim card, but it's not giving me the option to do this.

Any help would be appreciated.

@Kiwisuz   Have you used any of your allowance already before trying to gift any data ?

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Yes but not a lot as i only received the new sim card yesterday.

Thankyou for responding.

@Kiwisuz : Are you both under the same MyEE family a/c, not PAYG? You need to be to be able to gift data.

You may only gift from the 1st 100 GB each month. So if you've already used some data for your own purposes you will have eaten into this gifting allowance or even used it all up.

Thanks for the response.

I have never gifted data before, and i changed my plan recently. The two numbers are on the same account and it's a pay monthly rolling contract.

I have downloaded the latest app and the family usage option is not there in the menu, I've searched all options and it doesn't appear for me.

So, you're saying that I need to gift the data before I use any at all?

No, you may still gift data while you haven't yet used 100 GB up yourself.

It's just weird how i have the latest app and i literally don't even have the option to gift data. It just doesn't exist on the app, and you can't even do it on P.C which is a massive joke aswell. So what can i do except call 150??

I've read historic comments about this subject, and it seems like this is not a new problem, and EE are doing nothing about it. In this day and age we shouldn't have to call 150 to do something simple like send data, and EE should have this fixed by now, they are basically miss selling products, or accepting payment for a product that is broken. It feels like the world is going backwards these days, it really does.

Hi @Kiwisuz,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

Is your router using a 4GEE Home or 4GEE WiFi 30 day rolling contract? These plans aren't eligible for data gifting.
