Hi guys
I have connected an external HDD to my smart hub and I can't find it on my computer. How do I see it on my computer?
I have got network sharing turned on.
I am using Win 10 latest release.
It does show up on the smart hub itself.
Thanks in advance
Kriss 🙂
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

You need to enable SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support in Windows Features. Win 10 started disabling this sometime in its life.
@mikeliuk : Another red herring! You won't find this solution in any documentation.

How have you connected it?

Hi @SciFiKriss ,
It's likely you will want to refer to the manual for your smart hub or a relevant online reference document for it to determine how to access network attached storage presented by it. Its possible that in the GUI interface you may find links pointing you to help documentation that will assist.

I have plugged it into the smart hub USB port. The hub sees it when I go in there it is just the computer that doesn't 🙂

Hi @SciFiKriss ,
Please see below regarding configuration on the client. You should verify what the protocol is being used on the server so that you don't end up tweaking irrelevant options for a different version which is not used.
