Changing back to old number

I changed my number due to ex boyfriend keep getting in touch. But I am now locked out my Instagram account because my old number was connected to it. Any way I can receive my old number back just so I’m able to get back into my account?

No, you released & forsook your old no. when you changed it. Surely Instagram has some way of changing the no. it ascribes to you?
