Hello can any one help me to get my data across to my Watch so i can use without my mobile near. I have a Huawei P30 and I have manage to link it through Wearable and the health app and installed a plug in ALL GOOD. The problem is i cant connect to my data plan which is the main reason i set up a contract to this watch.

I would contact the help line and speak to someone but my Ticks are bad at the moment along with a stammer. All the help possible on here be grand.

Thanks

Seany

@seany414141 to my knowledge the Samsung watch 4 4G version is only compatible with a Samsung phone.

Also all cellular watches have their own contract for data that’s why you can not link your phone data allowance it.

All contracts for watches are setup via the app that controls the watch on the phone in this case it’s the Samsung wear app.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Aye I've got a contract on my phone with EE  and took a separate data contract out on the watch with EE.  A sim card came with the watch with the data on and put that in my phone still no data to the esim. I've tried both sims should be pretty straight forward but inst. I been all over the web and watching you tube tutorials. Samsung says they is no reason why it shouldn't work with my phone.

Everything else works linking the phone and watch together just no data.  Really dont want to give up I love the watch but love the phone too..

Hi @seany414141.

I'd recommend getting in touch with our Tech Care team about this.

They will be able to access your account and make sure everything is set up correctly. If they can't come to a resolution straight away, they'll raise an investigation ticket to try and get it working.

Yeah I would but ticks are bad at the moment what ever happened to the
webchat.

OK manage to get online and talk to a Tech.. Bottom line you won't get this watch to work on its own with data unless you have Samsung Phone. The main thing that confused me though is What if I paired it with a Samsung phone to activate the esim the carry on using the P30 once paired.. Supposely if you have a Samsung phone and switch your phone off you can you can still use the data from your watch.. But if you put you sim in a  Huawei after the data won't work now..

Sorry this a blown my mind why is this if the watch works when your Samsung phone is switched off.. makes no sense.

It's down to EE rather than device compatibility as such.

I managed to force the Watch to ask for a QR code in which allowed me to test the theory, in which I've got Ubigi running fine. Ubigi uses EE as an MVNO (similar to Asda Mobile before they moved to Vodafone)

How do you force it to give you QR code like ?  Very intrigued, bit of a joke you got to do this though.
