I got sent the wrong Sim from EE for my 4g router yesterday. I called EE and they cancelled it (I hope) but the number is still showing on my account. How long does it take to come off and will I be charged as EE told me to throw the sim away.

I would allow 72 hours for your My EE to update.
Did you speak with an agent who cancelled it over the phone?
