When did you post this letter? From where?

EE will only take your 30-days notice starting from when they receive your letter. Have you allowed for that?

I shouldn't cancel your DD until it's all settled, unless you want to spoil your credit record & have debt collectors chasing you.

Letter was posted in the UK on 30th June, however we have not received any confirmation and the line is still active, The actual contract expired in 2016 so I am unsure how you can hold it to a 30 day cancellation. Either way please ensure the line is terminated.

EE contracts don't just stop, they continue on a rolling basis with a minimum term.

I presume you've used the device since 2016? If so, that would be evidence that the contract hadn't just stopped, otherwise the device wouldn't have worked.

Have you switched the device on and connected to mobile coverage since sending the letter? It's possible that confirmation may have been sent by text message.

I have logged into MyEE app and it is showing as unused data until 15th August, so one can only assume it has not been cancelled. The initial contract  lock in period ended in October 2016 so do not see any reason for the contract not be terminated.

I as I have said previously am in lock down abroad and do not have access to the device to test it however I am still being billed regardless. I need to ensure it is cancelled and a request was sent by post on 30th June. I do not have access to telephone EE from my location so what are my options since Customer Support will not speak with my son since his name is not on the bill.

Then don't expect it to be cancelled until about 5th Aug.

These contracts don't just end, just the min. term expires. They are ongoing contracts to which you agreed when you signed up. After the min. term they just carry on at the same price on a rolling month's notice basis until you explicitly cancel or upgrade.

This user discussion forum cannot ensure anything about your contract, having no access to your specific account.
