Im on holiday in Poland due to family reasons, my friend send me SIM card from UK. I top up for 15£ but I can’t use it or even call somewhere. I read on the forum that card need to be activated. Is that right ?

Yes, PAYG SIMs must 1st be used in the UK.
PAYG credit is not refundable. You could try & ask CS for it back cuz of the above reason.

Hi @Joska91
Welcome to the community.
As @XRaySpeX has advised, new pay as you go SIM cards need to be used on the EE network in the UK before they connect via a roaming network.
Once you are back in the UK and make a call or send a text this will activate for you.
If you would like to discuss your options, please give our Pay as you go Care team a call.
Thanks.
Leanne.
