Hi Everyone,
A bit of a "rocky week" so I haven't participated in the ee Community much this week. But now I'm back and 'on fire' with Topics that I've 'written in my head' but haven't quite got around to the actual Topic/Post yet (I will!).
So...here's a list of some of the Topics/Posts you can expect to see from @CalamityJane (as soon as I can churn them out). If any appeal to you, tag me by typing @CalamityJane in the search box, and whenever I fire off a Topic/Post, you'll know right away.
*NEW* Topics [Theme of the Topic] - Coming Soon from CJ
(1) THIS is what Customer Care REALLY Looks Like -- USA-Style & UK-Style [Customer Care Tribute]
(2) Thank Goodness for Call Abroad PAYG Add On [Have this Excellent program & will share why/how it works for me]
(3) "Oldies but Goodies" -- "OAPs" (like me) Can Still be Solid Contributors [Theme is baked into the Topic]
(4) The GOOD, The BAD, and The UGLY [Spoiler Alert! Nothing about the actor Clint Eastwood. Instead, a bit about CJ learning to "Be Better."]
(5) MMS and/or Text Messaging FAILS - Still Having a Bit of a Problem-Help? [a)Still cannot get my Mom's cell to read ANY of the texts I send her; b) More MMS Pic message Fails, and c ) Now I owe EE a 40p Refund - How do I give it back?
(6) A CJ Recommendation - The Value of Mentorship and/or Community Collaboration
(7) Calling all Evil Empires - You Should be Ashamed of Yourselves! [CJ's Personal (i.e. REAL) Customer Care Experience with several HUGE UK / USA / or International Companies...Things did not go well...What now? CJ "throws down 'The Gauntlet' (another great (in my opinion) Clint Eastwood movie)) --> A message to LARGE Companies who "Talk the Talk" but don't "Walk the Walk" --> STOP your bad behavior.
(8) Can I set a code to "automatically" have every Topic I create remove the "check" in the 'Email me when someone replies box?' [CJ Note to Great Thinkers - Really like the Community, however, it's taken over my email box! I WILL get back to my fellow Community Members, just not right away sometimes]
(9) Girls Just Want to Have Fun [A bit of a 'silly survey' about your favorite songs over the last 5 Decades (Yes, I have been around for over 5 decades)], and then..
(10) CJs "Best of Britain" [Taking into account that my "Dream Vacation" was shut down by The Virus -and- that we remain under lock down/social-distancing guidelines (in Wales). [There are just a couple of "worsts too" -but- only a couple!!], and finally...
(11) Meet My "Kids" in the Garden & OOPS! -- [CJ has never been a gardener before, so Theme is some gardening adventures --> PICs of my Garden Kids --> and OOPS is 1 Gardening OOPS and 1 USA vs. UK OOPS (Why do you Brits write your dates backwards? LOL)
Remember, to tag me, place @CalamityJane in the search box...and remove any subfilters if you want to try to catch all my posts. Be patient...since I'm typing as fast as I can.
Again, it is good to be back...CJ

THANK YOU ee Master XRaySpeX,
Why am I not the least bit surprised that you are the first Great Thinker to tee up a Solution? You are an awesome mentor-- Thank you from your Grasshopper - CJ

XRaySpeX -- CJ with one more observation/question...It appears that each and every time I apply the Thumbs Up and / or tag something as a Solution, I'm asked to re-enter my credentials.
Questions:
1) Is my observation correct?
2) If yes, why do that do that? It seems counterproductive --> the more I become involved, the more times I'm interrupted to re-credential. It interrupts my "flow" - can anything be done (by Me, or by Community)?
Thanks,
CJ

Let me explain EXACTLY WHY the New Topics / Posts that I've outlined/promised are not yet posted...
Previously, I've mentioned a "bit of a rocky week.' In truth, the 'rocks' are really about the size of "boulders." Good or Bad, you'll have to keep following me if you want to connect one post to another --> since there are Themes/Connectors that will run from post to post.
The explanation for my long absences from the Community and my failure to deliver (time-wise) on posts is this: I have spent (wait for it)--> 81.28 hours of my own time and 50 pounds sterling of my own money in an attempt to have my USA Banking "Partners" GIVE ME ACCESS TO MY OWN MONEY. [All 100% 'proveable' using the FANTASTIC Data Usage Reports provided by EE (the Company) in the "My ee" section of the website.
So....I'm tired --> no actually I'm exhausted! And, it's a very good thing this Community functions on text and not voice because --> I'm very close to total laryngitis. MWD (my partner (born in this lovely country)) has demanded that I rest my voice and not speak today unless absolutely necessary (Note: that probably works out well for him as he doesn't have to hear me 'yabber-on' about Banker-Wxxkers etc.)
Just bear with me...Everything I have promised will emerge. Just need a bit longer than originally anticipated to deliver on my promises. Note 2: I am NOT asking for a Pity-Party (hope that's a recognized expression in the UK as well as USA) --> My CJ (hence my "Nic" was my Dad (sadly now deceased) --> but still with me every time I stand up a post with my "CJ" sign off at the bottom, I say to myself: "Thank you Dad. I love you and I know you are still looking out for Daddy's Little Girl."
Stick with me Community ---> It WILL be worth the wait! What's right is right, and I WILL make what's right MY MISSION; MY PURPOSE and MY OBLIGATION TO MY DAD! I am my Father's Daughter --> Mess with me, and you are messing with the wrong person!
Notice delivered....Now, I've put on some motivational music (Beatles Abbey Road) and I'll get back to writing and standing up my posts 😉
