BT Whole home Wi-Fi compatibility with latest EE router.

Hi

I am contemplating switching from Vodafone to EE. 

I live in a remote area in a small cottage which has extremely thick walls. In order to receive wi-fi throughout the house I use the BT Whole Home Wi Fi system ( The original 3 white discs, not the latest black disc version) which works extremely well.

Bizarrely these will not work with the latest BT router and as EE are partnered or part of BT I wondered if they will work with the latest EE router?

I spoke to their technical team who were adamant they would not work.

I am not technical and have no idea why but that’s what they said.

Instructing me I would need to buy the new/latest black disc system to work with their router!
