Compensation? Really?
Are you American?
What did you need compensating for?
The rest of us will be paying that compensation.
Unreal.

Mine was attempted to be delivered today to my office... obviously closed. But I've chosen pick up shop and will get it tomorrow. Hurrah!

I am being compensated money wise but still don’t have the phone .......waaaaaaaaah

How has your phone arriving late cost you money? What exactly do you think
you were entitled to? What losses did you incur by it not arriving at it's
ETA (the E referring to Estimated)?
What out of pocket expenses did you have?
I am curious, because I might be due compensation for having to wait longer
than promised for my food delivery the other nite.

Many different ways. I’ll pay you x amount for a product or service, have I received that on the date they specified when I ordered? No hence they haven’t met their side of the agreement hence why they are offering compensation as terms of the contract haven’t been met. You wouldn’t be happy if you were paying a builder for a job and then they were up to two weeks late when they promised it on a specific date

An idea for those still waiting of time scales, obviously you are higher priority than new users so timescales will be lessAn idea for those still waiting of time scales, obviously you are higher priority than new users so timescales will be less

Not really! you are not entitled to any compensations. It is just about how much you escalate the matter to the managers and show how much unsatisfied a customer you are. No contract or agreement is broken here, and nowhere in the contract says customers receive compensation if their products aren't received on time. It occurs to the fact that, in the UK, the S10 has the highest preorder amount than any other Samsung phones ever. Now you can see why some people had to get their S10 a day or 2 days later.

Simply put that any pre order that wasn’t met on the delivery date of the 8th, which is what was told to people, EE have failed to do that, simply put contract broke. I was told 8th and I didn’t get it on the eighth, hence why they gave compensation. If they had told me when I ordered that it might not be the 8th it might be later and I order at my own risk, then I would not be entitled to compensation and I wouldn’t seek any.

also what didn’t help their case is even when ee knew they couldn’t meet the 8th deadline their website was still taking preorders and stating delivery the 8th

Really?

A builder not turning up for a job is a whole different thing, and in no way compared to you getting a toy a bit late.

A builder not turning up as arranged could result in massive inconvenience, and cost if temporary accomodation had been arranged etc. THAT should be compensated.
You throwing you toys out of your pram is not a reason to be compensated.

Their delivery times are ESTIMATES. Not guarantees. Do you think EE will be compensated because of a manufacturing delay? No, they won't, because all times are ESTIMATES.

I am sorry, but people like you make me sick. I am willing to bet that you would claim 'compensation' via a whiplash injury if your car was bumped. That is a reason why we pay so much for insurance.

All these ridiculous compensation claims, and senses of entitlement cost companies a furtune. Who do you think pays for it all? US! We do. I have paid towards your 'compensation'. My bill is higher than it could be to cover mardy brats who think the world owes them something.

I cannot wait until the self entitled, who make suprious claims where they have not been inconvenienced or had costs associated with things they claim for, are stopped in their tracks. Prices  would come down for everybody.

Just like when you go into a shop. YOU are paying more for your things to cover snowflakes like you who decide they do not want to pay for their stuff and steal it. That loss of profit has to be 'compensated' for, and that is by outting up the cost of everything to everybody.
Aaaaaand breath.

Wow seems like someone has been triggered.

To call someone a snowflake and a shoplifter in one message is quite something.

I'm betting you're a brexiteer too. That kind of message full of misinformation and insults can only come from a brexiteer.

Anyway, enjoy your Sunday xx
