Advice for people looking to upgrade phones that are currently out of stock

DrChopz

It's too late for those of us that already have orders (long over)due but for anyone looking to join the queue for a new phone I suggest you change your contract to SIM only first then upgrade that contract it to a new phone. My contract has run out but I still have to pay the full amount each month until my new phone arrives, I spoke to 150 and they confirmed this is the case. However if I'd gone SIM only first then upgraded  I'd have had no penalty and would only be paying for my usage, not for a phone I've already paid for over 2 years.

EE will be making tidy sums in the meantime charging customers for old phones while they await delivery of their new ones.

Hi @DrChopz

Thanks for coming back to the community.

If you are currently waiting for your phone, we update our order tracker as soon as deliveries arrive, so you can see the latest information we have.

You will receive a text from DPD, by 8pm the day before your delivery, to confirm that it's on its way.

Thanks.

Leanne.
